Aidapta Implemented at Cracow University of Technology

The aim of the new implementation is to streamline the process of ensuring the digital accessibility of documents published by the university in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. The new system will automatically process up to hundreds of thousands of pages per year, substantially reducing the need to manually adapt documents for people who use assistive technologies, including screen readers.

Artificial intelligence is changing how accessible documents are prepared. Aidapta uses AI to automatically analyse, tag, and adapt files to meet the PDF/UA standard, significantly reducing the time required and the number of manual corrections. It can generate accessible documents not only in PDF/UA but also in HTML, and can be integrated with university systems such as public information bulletins, CMS platforms, and document repositories.

This is another area of cooperation between Sages and Cracow University of Technology. The university already uses the Omega-PSIR system and is also implementing the USOS system through a consortium of Sages and Innergo.
